How to uninstall any of our programs
if the standard method doesn't work

First, make sure you tried the standard method for uninstalling our products. This method is described on this page: How to uninstall a program by Innovative Solutions (standard method)

In case the standard method doesn't work, we have an additional method for uninstalling the program. They should be applied ONLY after trying the standard method.

If the program you wish to uninstall is running, it is very important to close the program before trying to uninstall it.

If the program runs as an icon in your system tray (in the lower-right corner of the screen), please right click on the icon and, from the menu that appears, please choose "Exit" or "Close".

If the program shows it's window on the screen, you can usually close it by clicking the "X" icon in the upper-right corner of the program's window.

If you can't close the program, then follow to the next steps anyway.

METHOD 1 - run the uninstall routine yourself

Step 1 - Start Windows Explorer

You can start Windows Explorer from your Start Menu, or you can press the WIN+E key combination (hold down WIN, and press E at the same time) to start it.

Step 2 - Navigate to the folder of the program you wish to uninstall

For products by Innovative Solutions, that folder usually is:

C:\Program Files\Innovative Solutions\PROGRAM NAME

This is the standard folder where products by Innovative Solutions are installed. However, when installing a program, the person installing it may choose to install it into a totally different folder.

If you can't find the folder of the program, just ask the person who installed the program on your computer. If you installed it yourself, try to remember where you have installed it.

Also, if the language of your Windows installation is not English, then the Program Files folder may be named differently - for example in German it may be named Programme.

Step 3 - Run the unins000.exe file

Look for the unins000.exe file, and double-click to run it.

A wizard should appear. Please follow the steps of the wizard to uninstall the program. This usually involves pressing the Next button repeatedly.

This step should uninstall the program completely. If it does, then stop here.

Only if the program still isn't removed from your PC, then continue with the steps bellow.

Step 4 - Delete the program's folder and files

Do this only if the step above fails.

Windows Explorer should be already opened in the folder of the program you wish to uninstall, because of steps 1 and 2.

If not, then please open Windows Explorer to the folder of the program, which usually is:

C:\Program Files\Innovative Solutions\PROGRAM NAME

For more details about how to open Windows Explorer, please see steps 1 and 2.

Using Windows Explorer, delete the folder of the program (or the entire Innovative Solutions folder, if you wish to get rid of all the programs from us). To do this, right click on the folder and choose Delete from the menu that appears.

Be very careful not to delete any other folder - for example, don't delete the folders of the programs you need.

Windows Explorer will probably ask you to confirm the deletion. Please confirm it.

Step 5 - Delete the Start Menu items that were left over

Do this only if Step 3 didn't work or if there are some leftover Start Menu items for the program you wish to uninstall.

Just go to your Start Menu, and right click on the Start Menu item or folder you wish to delete. A menu will appear - from that menu, choose Delete and confirm the deletion.
