Amazing software. It works well with Advanced Uninstaller PRO. The new registry monitor makes me feel very safe and it works really well with windows X64 emulation also. Advanced Uninstaller PRO seemed to find additional problems that Registry Mechanic didn't find but it's definitely a handy piece of software to add to your recovery-collection.

Unfortunately, after purchasing this program, I could not use it. It would not take my registration number provided by the vendor and therefore I could not register it and use it. They suggested several alternatives to me, all of which I followed word by word and I still could not successfully register the program. I had to request a credit or refund because of being unable to use this program. I have a new pc - Windows XP Professional-Dell-Purchased in July 2006.

When you uninstall Registry Mechanic 8 it still leaves license information on the machine. If you re-install Registry Mechanic, the old information is automatically pulled in. I have a situation when a PC went to a different division and I need to update the license with a different user and license number without having to format the entire drive. Have deleted all of the apparent references to Registry Mechanic in the registry but this has not solved the issue. I tried having Advanced Uninstaller 9 remove all traces but still could not remove it. I also turned off windows xp restore. I also searched the regristry and removed any trace i could find. Does anyone know how to get rid of an old name and key so I can put my name and lic. key instead.
